Canon: Pandora Hearts
Canon Point: Post-chapter 77 [Vacant]
Species: Human
Gender: Female
Orientation: ... ... good question. Does she even understand love enough to have an orientation... :|;

... at this point, though, I'd most likely go with straight if only because Oz seems to be the only one whom she shows visible affection towards (both in a romantic manner and in a tsunbunny manner... ish... thing...)

History: Will this suffice? If not, feel free to mention so and I will... attempt writing it. ohgod that would suck
Appearance: derp derp derp

Personality:

Much of Alice's personality and habits can be traced back to her time as a human girl prior to her death and the hundred year period in the Abyss that followed. As a result of the time-warping and the age acceleration of the Abyss she comes off as being more child-like that most; spoiled, bossy, temperamental and possessive of her stuffed rabbit, Oz -- all of which survives into her transformation into a chain. Some of her habits even survive, as well -- her gluttony and love of meat, for example, can even be traced back to the times that Oswald would bring her meat for lunch while she was locked in the Baskerville tower.

Of course, then the Tragedy of Sablier happened and she dies, and then she becomes the Black Blood-Stained Rabbit, feared as the strongest chain in the Abyss.

By the time the manga starts proper, Alice has lost her memories of, well, pretty much everything save her name; as a result, she also loses her memory of what human emotions are, exactly. That isn't to say that she isn't emotionless, though -- the truth is actually the opposite. To use a turn of phrase, she wears her heart on her sleeve. It's easy to see if she's angry, or when she's sad, or hungry... really, she's got nothing to hide and isn't afraid to truly live. One would say she's almost child-like in that respect (which wouldn't be that far off due to the nature of just how she grew up in the Abyss); to Oz, her view of things makes her sun-like and beautiful to him.

Really, her evolution in the manga prior to her recovering her memories is just watching her become more human, in a way -- because of the harshness of the Abyss as well as her isolation, she at first comes off as being brash, aggressive, and heartless. And really, she's still very much full of herself and spoiled, too, thanks to the reputation B-Rabbit has of being the strongest chain in the Abyss. Her time in the human world, though, helps her to reconnect to humans again and helps her become less hostile to others, as well. Doesn't really stop her from being loud and obnoxious still, but she really does care for those that she's close to, in her own strange way ( see her biting Oz in a mistaken attempt to kiss him to cheer him up after seeing the same image in a book, for example ).

Alice is also extremely possessive -- when she was human she was possessive of her stuffed rabbit, Oz. And... as a chain she's very possessive of her contractor, Oz. ( Which is... really more of a case of either foreshadowing or dramatic irony on Mochijun's part. ) Really, she's very possessive of people or things she considers hers, and will not hesitate to verbally or even physically attack those who threaten to take her things or people away from her, as seen when she snaps over the bond Oz and Gilbert shared. Though really, this ties in to her loneliness, as well -- she hates the possibility of her friends being taken from her and, having been in the Abyss for a hundred years or more, she does not take the idea of being left alone by her friends well at all. She even goes so far to admit that the thought of being alone again terrifies her -- really, even if she's outright abusive and yells at her friends a lot, she does care about them in her own way, if the harsh nicknames of "seaweed head" and "clown" that she gives Gilbert and Break, repsectively, are any indication. Really.

She's also got a curiosity that is as insatiable as her appetite for meat -- really, thanks to all the weird things that happened to her in the Abyss before and after death she is really clueless and naive on a lot of different things ( most notably, she asked Sharon if love was something you can eat... ). She's eager to learn more about the world and different things, even if she usually asks if she can eat it first. Despite this, her curious naivete betrays the fact that she's actually more self-aware than one would think. She's aware of how others around her are feeling, especially Oz; and she can have moments of clarity where she gives good advice and points. And even when she's terrified at what she might learn about herself, or scared at being alone again, she pushes on with her goal with a surprising resolve and optimism that one hundred years in the Abyss hasn't been able to destroy.

One of the most important and recurring character traits in her is that despite all this, she really does have a clear perception of the things and the people around her, and will not hesitate to do anything if it means she can protect the ones that she holds dear. The most exemplary of these is the events leading up to her death -- while it was previously hinted that she'd been murdered, it's revealed that she actually killed herself to not only prevent Jack from using Oz to hurt anyone else, but also to sever the link between her body and her sister's soul in order to prevent Jack, again, from manipulating Alyss/the Intention of the Abyss from destroying anything else. And on top of that, she even becomes a chain -- the B-Rabbit we're familiar with for most of the series -- so she could both fulfill her sister's wish to destroy her memories of Jack AND spare B-Rabbit!Oz any further pain.

... whew. Did you get all that?

To sum it all up, Alice is a brash, headstrong girl who wears her heart on her sleeve and is unafraid to show how she feels at the moment. She has many different sides to her that are shown depending on the situation, and it's easy to read her. And yet, even with how reckless and outright stupid she can be sometimes, she's also the most self-aware and compassionate character in the series, who cares about her companions, friends and family in her own abusive way.

Abilites:

Because Alice became the B-Rabbit after the Tragedy of Sablier went down, the most obvious abilities she has are those related to the B-Rabbit. When using this power she changes form into a giant black monster rabbit with red eyes, and carries arounda giant scythe that she can use to wreak havoc and destruction.

... of course, since her contract is connected to Oz and she's sealed by Gil's Raven, welp. She's really only good at hitting and kicking things around. Which is still no small feat considering that she's got way more strength than an average human, being able to toss around beds and bookcases without much trouble.

She also has a keenly developed sixth sense that allows her to sense other people's emotions and troubles, even when they do their best to hide it. She's really like an animal in that respect...

Other: ... nope? I think. Maybe. :|;

SAMPLES

First Person:

[After a good amount of keysmoohing, the cell phone opens up -- to a large violet eye staring into the screen. It pulls back and forth and even rotates a few times before the feed steadies into the view of a girl with long brown hair. She seems to have a testy frown on her face as she at first taps the screen, and then... the screen goes black!

...and it returns to normal, albeit with some teeth marks and some drool. Guess who tried to taste it?]

What the hell is this thing supposed to be? It doesn't even tell the time...

[She scoffs, twirling the communicator around a little before stopping.]

Useless piece of junk-- what am I even doing?! I need to find him--! Oz...

[A muttered curse. She sounds like she's trying to bite back some panic.]

Damn it, Oz--! Who said you could send me away like that, you jerk!? When I find you--

[A pause. She seems to be distracted with something.]

...wait. I smell meat.

[The last sound you hear is a mad dash towards a nearby cafe as she snaps the communicator closed.]

Third Person:

Truth be told, between regaining her memories and being pushed away by Oz like that, the last thing Alice really wanted was meat. Her frustrations only grew as she wandered around this strange community they called Holly Heights, hissing under her breath. Her heels quietly clicked across the sidewalk -- obviously this wasn't anywhere she'd been before. Her confusion and wariness only grew as she realized that she was alone in this place -- well, alone wasn't quite the right word for it. Even with how idyllic and quiet this place was, something was extremely off about it...

But how did she even end up here? And where was here, anyway? This place was definitely more than just a little strange...

Alice groaned quietly, muttering under her breath. "Oz, you idiot..." Her hands clutched the front of her skirt tightly as he fought back tears. Yes, he was the one that sent her away, that forced her to leave even though she didn't want to... why did he do that? She didn't want him to stay like that, dammit! "... it never mattered to me if you were human, or chain, or... whatever. As long as you were mine and mine alone..." The chain sighed quietly, sitting down at the sidewalk and curling up at the curb. A sad expression slowly crept onto her face as she stared at the asphalt -- how long was he going to be like this? How long would she have to give him space?

"... I'm not going to forgive you if you leave me behind..."

Seriously, who said he could just listen to Jack like that?! He was her property, dammit! And nothing would change that -- not Jack, not that stupid seaweed head, not Oswald or Glen, not her sister's... Oz was hers and hers alone! And she huffed as she pushed herself to stand again, her expression darkening. It was decided; the first thing she'd do was give Oz a good kick or several to the head as soon as she found him.

"OZ, YOU IDIOT! GET OUT HERE!" And on she continued running down the street, ignoring the stares she got from the community's other inhabitants...
